At Oakdene Dental our patients are at the heart of everything we do. We provide the highest quality treatment with kindness, courtesy and patience in a relaxed and friendly environment. Our highly trained team offers the latest knowledge and expertise covering all aspects of dental care from general family dentistry to cosmetic treatments such as tooth whitening.

Our Practice
We have recently invested in a newly refurbished waiting room to make your visit with us as calming and comfortable as possible. Whilst you wait you will be able to enjoy our lavender essential oil diffuser, read from a selection of up to date magazines or have a hot beverage of your choice. We also have a beautiful well maintained garden to look on to. Oakdene Dental has a large private car park with plenty of spaces. There is wheelchair access and ground floor surgeries.
Meet The Team
DR IAN WHITE ▸ Principal Dentist
Ian is passionate about his work and his philosophy is to treat his patients as he would want to be treated himself. He believes that listening is one of the most valuable clinical and diagnostic tools and he will spend as much time as you need talking through concerns, explaining procedures and putting you at ease.
Ian graduated from Leeds University in 2008 and was awarded a Certificate of Merit for distinction in the exam of Clinical Dental Surgery. He spent a challenging year working at Pinderfields Hospital as a maxillofacial surgeon in a team treating head and neck cancer, trauma, infection and difficult tooth removals, before moving into general dentistry. After relocating to the beautiful New Forest in 2012, Ian began working at Oakdene Dental Surgery.
Ian continually undertakes post-graduate training to provide his patients with the highest quality dentistry. He has an interest in cosmetic dentistry and treating nervous patients. Ian enjoys exploring new countries and cultures and is an enthusiastic photographer and long distance runner.

IAN JONES ▸ Hygienist
Ian qualified as a dental hygienist in the Royal Army Dental Corps in 1994. Over the years Ian has worked in hospital and private practices and provided training and mentoring for Dental care professionals. He prides himself on treating people as he would like to be treated himself, being gentle and approachable to his patients. Ian has a keen interest in travel, from camping to visiting far away places.

KIM GASNIER ▸ Receptionist
Kim has worked at Oakdene since 2003. She is very passionate about her work and has an excellent relationship with all of our patients with a warm and welcoming manner. She loves the interaction with all patients, putting them at ease if they are nervous. She is always willing to make a decent cup of tea if needed.
In her spare time Kim likes to spend time with family, friends and her granddaughter. Her favourite past times are sunbathing and a spot of retail therapy!
RACHEL BRETT ▸ Dental Nurse
Rachel is a highly experienced dental nurse having qualified in 2010. She enjoys all aspects of her job, but particularly appreciates patient interaction and helping the patient feel comfortable. She relishes being part of the patients journey and seeing the end result of a healthy mouth and a happy patient.
In her spare time she enjoys supporting her son who plays for a local football team. She also enjoys the beach and the New forest, and obviously…shopping!

MILENA COOPER ▸ Dental Nurse
Milena joined Oakdene in September 2012 and gained her NVQ Level 3 Diploma in dental nursing in 2015. After Qualifying Milena was Awarded the “Student of the year” David Baird award.
Milena particularly enjoys the variety each day brings, interacting with patients and gaining their confidence if they are nervous. Milena feels that working at Oakdene is like working with family. She has 3 children who she loves to spend time with and enjoys swimming, the gym and going to the cinema.
