Oakdene Dental has reopened for face to face dental care from Monday 8th June.

The treatment available may be limited for a period of time and we will try to prioritise emergency appointments and those with outstanding treatment needs first. If you have an emergency or if urgent treatment is needed please contact us and we will try our best to help you. We will be in contact with patients regarding their routine care once availability allows.

We have always provided the highest quality cross infection possible at Oakdene Dental. However, due to the COVID 19 pandemic we have introduced some addition measures to keep our patients and staff as safe as we can.

Although we may look a bit different, behind the PPE we are still the same caring people  trying to do our best for you during this difficult time.

What to expect

  • *ALL STAFF ARE NOW TESTED TWICE A WEEK FOR COVID-19*

  • Before an appointment is booked, we will phone you to triage you for signs or symptoms of Covid 19

  • On arrival please phone us or make us aware you are here. You will then be offered a seat in the waiting room, a seat outside or you can go back to your car whichever you feel most comfortable with.

  • On entering the building, you will be asked to wear a mask unless you are exempt from this and to use the alcohol rub provided

  • On entering the surgery both dentist and nurse will already have PPE on

  • After your appointment you will be asked to stand in the marked area whilst the receptionist arranges any further appointments

  • There will be card payment only

  • When leaving we ask you to again to use the alcohol rub provided

  • After you have left we will thoroughly disinfect the surgery as well as any surfaces touched in the waiting area 

  • All instruments are disinfected in accordance with HTM 01-05 in our dedicated decontamination room
